Spring News 2011 - I've been writing and singing in a very new style for me, and trying to push my own artistic boundaries to bring about new inspiration. I've also been doing a bit of composition collaboration with guitarist and composer Cameron Mizell. It's my first time collaborating with another person on compositions and I was so excited to find that the Creative Powers That Be still donned me with the good mojo when working on someone else's idea seed. We will be playing our new stuff at New York City's infamous Bitter End on June 23rd (in addition to a few favorites from the old repertoire), so you should really really mark your calendars. Like now. I wanna see your face. You wanna see the music. What a convenient coincidence. Additionally, the writing has included some more vocal harmonies, so I've asked my dear friend and fellow singer/songwriter Karla Chisholm to make a trek up from Washington DC to perform with me. Karla and I went to college together in Texas, and since our respective moves to the East Coast, our friendship and musical bond has become mucho stronso, and we've been lucky to have the opportunity to work together quite a bit doing back-up vocal work together. She's an amazing lady, a sister from another mister, and a killer singer (with her own debut original album due out this summer!) so DOUBLE WHAMMY why you should absolutely be at the Bitter End on June 23rd. You get that? June 23rd. When? June 23rd. Where? Bitter End. Butter Blend? No, Bitter End. June 23rd. Oh, ok, gotcha.
